Patrick's Day
He was born in Roman Britain in the fourth century into a
wealthy Romano British family. He was kidnapped and was a shepherd for six
years. After that he fled to the coast
after going home he went on to become a priest. This day celebrates the
Roman Catholic feast day of the patron saint of Ireland. We celebrate it on
March 17 because that is when he died. They wear green because it is part of
the Irish flag and the landscape
