Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. It had become an official holiday in 1863 during the civil war. The first thanksgiving was celebrated by pilgrims and the Wampanoag after their first harvest in the new world in 1621. It had lasted three days and 90 Native Americans and 53 pilgrims attended the first thanksgiving.

Reflection: This quote is saying that if something is not right do not do it and is something is not right do not say it. One example maybe it is killing and it is not right so don't do it. Another example is if someone told you a lie about another person don't say it.

Duties and responsibilities: Dental assistant have many tasks they take care of the patients, taking X-rays to record-keeping and scheduling appointments. It also all depends in witch state and dental offices they work in. The also prepare work area for patient treatment by setting out instruments and materials.

Education: There are many ways on how to become one. Some states require graduating from an accredited program and passing a state exam

Reflection: I would not like to be a dental assistant because I don’t think I could have this profession and be happy with what I do at work.

Duties and responsibilities: The duties of a dental lab technician work directly with the patients to work on their teeth. They are a member team who upon prescription from a dental; clinician, construct custom made restorative and dental appliances.

Salary: $22,275 - $52,438

Education: They need a high school diploma or its equivalent to apply to an accredited dental laboratory technology program. You can also have a baccalaureate program in dental technology.

Reflection: this type of research in the medical field doesn’t interest me because I don’t want to go into dealing with teeth.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is the official day that honors those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. They are the ones that continue to live after the war they come back from. Not to get confused with Memorial Day, It is those that of remembering the men and women who died while serving (KIA).  Veterans Day is a day to solute the men and women for protecting their country and coming back alive completing their duty during the war.

Reflection: I think it’s only fair to give the troops that helped protect our country a day. This holiday is important because it gives respect to people that train hard to serve our country the best they can do. Personally I have no family that went into this occupation but I have 2 friends currently in the army and I thank them for their bravery.

Education:  Most therapists need a bachelor’s degree or to the related field some might also get a doctoral degree. They also need a license. They also need qualities such as people skills
